The following contest is scheduled for one fall... making his way to the ring... from Cameron, North Carolina, weighing in at two hundred and thirty-five pounds... Matt... Hardy!

The theme music of Matt Hardy plays over the PA system and the fans boo viciously, he walks out onto stage slowly, wearing his usual ring attire of camo trousers. He is also wearing a large black trenchcoat. He looks around at the audience, his face expressionless.
Jim Ross: Well here comes Matt Hardy, let's see if he can back up what he said earlier!
Thor Jørgensen: He had strong words for Cole tonight, he clearly thinks that Cole is nothing but a stepping stone!
Hardy begins to make his down the ramp, not even acknowledging the fan's existance. He looks straight ahead at the ring, focused and ready to fight and win. He makes it to the steel steps and climbs them, one by one. He gets up onto the apron and looks out onto the many fans, all booing him. He shakes his head and climbs into the ring, looks around and gets onto the second rope. The fans boo ever louder as he raises his arm arrogantly. He jumps down, takes off his trenchcoat and begins preparing to face Cole Scorpio....

Cole makes his way to the ring, and steps between the ropes. He eyes his opponent up, and waits for the ref to start the match.
Nah, just kidding. He immediately attacks Matt Hardy, tackling him through the top and middle ropes!

The ref quickly called for the bell as Cole Scorpio began to viciously attack Matt Hardy.

Matt falls to the ground, Cole stays on the assault, hitting shots to the face. Hardy shakes him off and they both get to their feet. They lock up and Matt Hardy gets the advantage hitting an elbow to the back of Cole. Cole falls to his knees, Matt re-bounds from the ropes and is countered by Cole on the return. Cole lifts him up and hits a spinebuster. Hardy doesn't get back up from this, he lays there for a while as the fans cheer Cole on, he taunts and then climbs to the top rope. It takes him a while to do so, giving Matt enough time to get back up and jump up there himself. Matt grabs Cole in a headlock on the top rope, he hits some more elbows to the back of Cole before attempting for a superplex. Cole holds onto the top rope and headbutts Matt off, Matt falls to the ground and Cole re-adjusts himself on the turnbuckle, he stands up straight and hits a splash. Matt lifts up his knees and Cole winds himself landing awkwardly on the knees.
Jim Ross: That was a great reversal from Matt Hardy, it could've been over though!
Thor Jørgensen: Nah, JR. Trust me, these two still have a lot left in them, I know from experience. These two are in ring greats, this match is sure to be great.
Matt gets up and stomps on Cole, Cole tries to get up but is booted in the face by Hardy. Matt taunts, throwing up his signature hand sign, sarcastically. The fans boo loudly but Matt doesn't seem to care, his expression doesn't change at all as he watches Cole desparately try to get to his feet, holding his chest. Eventually he does and Matt immediately gets involved, backing Cole into the corner. Cole however pushes Matt away, Matt runs back at him but Cole hits a forearm to the face.

Matt turns around and staggers to the middle of the ring, and Scorpio uses his confusion to run up behind him and hit a belly-to-back suplex. Matt hits the mat hard, his spine in intense pain. He tries to sit up, only to see Cole rebound off the ropes and drive his elbow into Matt's sternum!
Cole stands quickly, and kicks Matt in the side of the neck to soften him up for the Canadian Crossface. He rolls Matt over, and applies a reverse chinlock. It's not going to force a tap, but it'll make his neck that much more sensitive. Matt fights to his feet though, and irish whips Cole WHO NAILS THE LARIAT ON MATT! Matt is on the mat again, clutching his face. His nose is bleeding, and Cole sees weakness!
Cole stands Matt up, and gives Matt an Irish Whip of his own, goes for a clothesline, MATT DUCKS, AND HITS A CLOTHESLINE OF HIS OWN!

Matt watches Cole on the floor, once again. He stomps on him again and climbs out of the ring, onto the apron, he climbs the turnbuckle and does his signature taunt. Matt jumps, attempting to hit the extreme leg drop, Cole rolls out of the way, Matt lands straight on his ass and lays back in pain. Cole drops down and locks him into a crossface submission hold. Matt reaches out in pain, Cole locks the hold in harder and harder, attempting to make Matt tap out, he doesn't. Matt reaches for the ropes, his fingertips brush it, eventually he manages to grip onto it and force the referee to break the hold. Cole rolls back and waits for Matt to get up, he does and the two lock up, Matt's arm gives out and he bends down, holding his arm, Cole hits a leg sweep.
Thor Jørgensen: This is such a technical match up, who's going to come out on top!
Jim Ross: Me either, Thor. This has been a great match so far though.
Cole goes for the pin...
1...Kickout!
The two get up and stare eachother down...

Cole grabs Matt around the head, and Matt grabs Cole's head, AND THEY JUST START PUNCHING! UPPERCUTS HOOKS JABS STRAIGHTS ALL STRAIGHT TO EACH OTHER'S SKULLS!
Cole raises his knee into Matt's diaphragm hard and fast, forcing the air out of Matt's lungs. He hip tosses Matt, and drops another elbow on him. Second pin attempt of the evening!
1...KICKOUT!
Cole goes for another pin, but Matt kicks out before the ref even slaps the ground.
Cole runs to the ropes, rebounds, SIDE EFFECT! SIDE EFFECT BY MATT!

Jim Ross: The Side Effect! Bah Gawd Thor, this could be the beginning of the end!
Matt gets back to his feet and stretches out his arms, awaiting Cole to get back to his feet. When he does, Matt goes for the gut kick, he then grabs Cole round the head, spins round and attempts to hit the Twist Of Hate, Cole spins out of it and stays on his two feet! He pushes Hardy into the ropes.
Thor Jørgensen: That was so close! Cole just saved himself big time!
Cole rushes over to Matt who pulls the rope down, Cole goes over the top but holds onto the ropes. Matt elbows him off. Cole falls to the outside area and Matt climbs the turnbuckle, he looks back and then throws himself backwards, hitting a moonsault! The move connects and the two lay there on the outside. The referee begins the count as Jim Ross nearly shits himself.
Jim Ross: BAH GAWD, BAH GAWD ALMIGHTY, HE IS BROKEN IN HALF, OH THE CARNAGE. GOVERNMENT MULE, STONE COLD STONE COLD, STO--
Thor Jørgensen: Calm down, JR.
1...2...3...4...5...
The fans start to cheer and stamp their feet, trying to encourage the two to get back into the ring. Matt gets to his feet, he picks Cole up and rolls him into the ring, he goes for the pin...
1...2...Kickout!
Thor Jørgensen: Oohh!
Matt sits up and puts his head in his hands, he gets to his feet and once again awaits Cole to get up.

Matt tries to drag Cole up to his feet, he's looking at the audience who boo him viciously, he should have been paying attention because BELLY TO BELLY SUPLEX! Matt stands, ANOTHER BELLY TO BELLY! Matt rolls to his feet, but Cole has already rebounded off the ropes behind him and GERMAN SUPLEX! Cole bridges, pin attempt!
1...2....KICKOUT!
BAH GAWD! HOW DID MATT KICK OUT OF COLE'S SIGNATURE SUPLEX COMBO?!?
Cole is incredulous, as Matt rolls out of the ring towards the announce tables!
1...2....3....4...OH MY GOD! COLE JUMPS OVER THE TOP ROPE, AND NAILS MATT HARDY WITH ALL HIS WEIGHT!
BOTH MEN ARE DOWN!
1....2...3...4...5....6... Cole rolls into the ring and rolls right back out to break the count!
Cole is under the ring now, and the referee is yelling at him, HE'S GOT THE CHAIR! THE SAME CHAIR HE USED IN HIS PROMO RECENTLY! It's still stained with his own blood, as Cole turns to face Matt...

Cole's pulling something out of his jean pocket, it's a capsule of some kind?!? What is he... he ate it! What the HELL is going on here? Matt didn't see Cole eat the capsule, and both men are getting up, with Cole facing away from Matt...
Matt twists Cole around, BUT COLE SPRAYS MIST INTO MATT'S FACE! THE ASIAN MIST! MATT IS BLINDED!
Cole climbs to the top rope while Matt is blind, and yells to him "HEY YOU FAT PIECE OF TRASH, OVER HERE!" Matt turns to face him AND TURNS RIGHT INTO THE SHOOTING STAR DDT!
1...2...KICKOUT!
HOW ARE THESE TWO MEN STILL ALIVE?!? HOW ARE THEY STILL CONSCIOUS?!? HOW ARE THEY STILL FIGHTING?!?

The referee begins to count both men down, neither appears to be getting up.
Jim Ross: This has been a fantastic match so far, Thor! I've never seen anything quite like it!
Thor Jørgensen: I don't know JR, but this one has to end soon, surely!
1...2...3...4...5...6... Cole Scorpio gets to his feet and picks up Matt Hardy, he irish whips him into the ropes and Matt catches him with a gut kick, he then hits a Richochet and gets back to his feet again, he waits for Cole to get back up before shoving him into the corner, he hits a clothesline in the corner and Cole falls into a sitting position, Matt grabs him by the legs and hits an Alleyoop bomb. He hits an elbow drop to the back of Cole and picks him up by the head. He jumps up, Ice Pick submission hold! Matt clenches the hold in tighter and tighter!
Thor Jørgensen: The Ice Pick! This has gotta be it!
Jim Ross: This is a lethal submission hold, it's almost impossible to escape from!
Just as it appears Cole is about to tap out, he manages to roll over and change the submission into a pin of his own!
1...2...Kickout!!!
Cole gets up and shouts at the referee, arguing that it was 3. The fans start chanting "This is awesome". Cole raises his arms and the fans cheer ever louder. Matt hardy gets up and clotherslines him, Cole gets up again and Matt hits a suplex. Cole lands on his feet and runs into the ropes, he re-bounds and slides under the legs of Matt he goes to the opposite end of the ring and re-bounds from the ropes again. Matt hits a hip toss but Cole once again lands on his feet, wrenching Hardy over and hitting a hip toss of his own.

Matt jumps to his feet, his fat rolls acting like waves of water, glistening in his lard-sweat. He turns to face Cole, only to meet a kick to the gut! Matt doubles over in pain, and Cole realizes his opportunity is nigh! Cole, with all his strength, lifts Matt high into the air in a powerbomb position! Matt is screaming for help, but none come in time as COLE HITS THE POWERBOMB FACEBUSTER!
But instead of going for the pin, Cole turns Matt over and applies the Canadian Crossface!

Matt is gasping for air, he's almost out! He's crawling towards the ropes, but can he make it?
10 inches... 9 inches... 8 inches... 7 inches... 6 inches... 5 inches... 4 inches... 3 inches... 2 inches... 1 inch... HE MADE IT TO THE ROPES! But Cole won't let go of the hold!
1... 2... 3... 4... He breaks the hold just in time! And now the referee is yelling at Cole, not a smart move based on Cole's previous treatment of referees!
And exactly as predicted, Cole has attacked the referee! A low blow blasts the air out of the referee's lungs, as he calls for the bell. THE MATCH IS OVER! MATT HARDY HAS BEATEN A CONTENDER FOR THE WORLD TITLE! But where is Matthew? Cole is wondering the same thing, and now he's coming out here to ask us.
Cole: "Hey, JR, you see where Matt w" MATT HITS COLE IN THE BACK OF THE HEAD WITH COLE'S OWN CHAIR! COLE IS SPURTING BLOOD FROM A WOUND ON HIS HEAD! GET A GODDAMN MEDIC DOWN HERE!
