Phillip... Phillips!Phillip Phillips emerged from backstage to the crowd's deafening cheers, Austin Cross close behind. He stopped to crack his knuckles, then sprinted down the ramp, high-fiving the outstretched hands of the crowd as he advanced towards the ring. He jumped up onto the apron, then violenty shook the rope in an Ultimate Warrior-type fashion before jumping over it and running up to the turnbuckle. He climbed to the top rope, then outstretched his arms, screaming a war cry of sorts. He jumped back off, then leaned against the turnbuckle in his corner as Daniel Red's music hit. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lUECyAxIyOwAnd his opponent... from Montgomery, Alabama, weighing in at two hundred and fourteen pounds... Daniel... Red!Daniel Red walked down the ramp, grinning at the crowd who gave him a mixed reaction. Phillip glared at him with no mercy as Red climbed up the steel steps and entered the ring. He climbed up the turnbuckle and raised his arm, making sure to keep an eye on Phillip, just in case... he got off the turnbuckle, and stared into Phillip's eyes as the ref called for the bell. Ding ding ding!Phillip Phillips and Daniel Red paced the ring, staring eachother down. Finally, they advanced towards eachother and locked up in a collar and elbow. Phillip transitioned into a waistlock then, with lightning speed, hit a bridging German suplex. 1... kickout! Daniel was stunned for a moment, shocked at Phillip's speed. Phillip ran for a spear, but Daniel Red quickly dodged, sending Phillip crashing into the steel pole in the corner of the ring. As a groggy Phillip pulled away from the turnbuckle, Daniel took the opportunity to hit a corkscrew forearm smash. While Phil was down, Daniel hit a moonsault, finishing off with a cover. 1... kickout! Daniel was frustrated, not sure how Phillip didn't even stay down for the two count. Daniel Red slowly began to pick Phillip up, but Phil nailed him with a huge knee to the gut, then hit a double underhook suplex while Daniel was stunned. Now that Daniel was grounded, Phillip hit a successful, semi-decent flip senton. He hit it, but Daniel quickly countered into a small package rollup. Austin noticed this, and quickly jumped up to distract the referee. Daniel had the pin in long after the three count, but the ref didn't notice, and Phillip managed to kickout at 5 or so. The ref turned around to continue with his job, but Austin quickly hit a reverse hotshot, knocking out the ref. Austin tossed a chair to Phillip and, after hitting a low blow to Daniel, grabbed it and cracked it over Daniels head. He positioned the chair on top of him, then hit a diving double foot stomp to the chair on Daniel. Phillip noticed the referee was getting up, and quickly tossed the chair back to Austin, who put it back under the ring apron to remove all evidence. As the referee got back up to his feet, Phillip climbed the turnbuckle, and... Crash & Burn! Phillip just hit his finishing move! The ref noticed Phil covering Daniel with a lateral press, and quickly dropped to the ground to count the pin. 1... 2... 3! Ding ding ding! Here's your winner... Phillip... Phillips!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JZwFkmAc4_o#t=3m21sThe crowd boomed, cheering at Phillip's clever victory as Austin climbed in the ring to raise Phillip's arm in victory. | |
